For Uttar Pradesh residents, filing a complaint, reporting an unclaimed body, finding the nearest police station or knowing about nearby danger zones is set to become easier. Thanks to UP police, who have launched its mobile app ‘UPCOP’, with an aim to spare people the trouble of making rounds of police stations.

After registering on the app, one can avail 27 services that normally require a visit to the police station. The police department has taken this initiative in a bid to support digital India drive launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This is citizen centric mobile application. Citizen can raise various requests related Uttar Pradesh Police department through this application and can track the request status until the final closure. Other useful tabs makes this application robust/capable for viewing the information related to public welfare.
