Agriculture and allied sectors continues to be the backbone of the State’s economy and endures to be the large contributor to the GSDP. Rajasthan is the highest producer of Mustard, Gram & Bajra in the Country.
Agriculture Production in Rajasthan :
As per preliminary forecast for the year 2017-18, the total foodgrain production in the State is expected to be 225.82 lakh tonnes, which is showing a decrease of 2.26 per cent as compared to previous year. While Kharif output is projected to increase by 8.84 per cent, the Rabi output is expected to decrease by 8.39 per cent.
