Explanation:

On February 27, 2018, the Haryana State Cabinet approved the proposal to bring the law for the execution of those found guilty of rape with girls aged 12 years and below who were found guilty of rape.
According to this, a person convicted of rape or gang rape with a girl up to 12 years will be sentenced to death or a rigorous imprisonment of 14 years, which can be extended to life imprisonment.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh government has passed such legislation.
Under this amendment, changes in IPC section 376 (a), 376 (d), 354 and 354 (d) (2) were changed.
