Panchkula, has become the first hospital in the country to get National Quality Assurance Certification (NQAC). As per the written communication received from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the certification was granted following a thorough assessment by three-empanelled external assessors. The certificate will be valid for three years and will be followed by another inspection after three years.
With this, the hospital will be entitled to receive a grant of Rs 5,000 per bed for three years. “It is a 300-bedded hospital and so, the hospital will receive an annual grant of Rs 15 lakh for next three years as the prize money. This will be helpful in providing more facilities to the patients visiting the hospital.
