The “Mhara Gaon, Jagmag Gaon” scheme launched by Haryana power utilities, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), has achieved another milestone by successfully qualifying all the norms for phase-1 in nine feeders in the State.The power utilities said that all the 26 villages of these five feeders namely Raiwali, Tikri, Shahpur, Dabri, Galib Kheri under UHBVN, and four feeders including Bar Gujjar, Talwara, Bijuwali and Khatrawan in operation circles of Ambala, Karnal, Gurgaon and Sirsa have met all the criteria. The criteria includs replacement of defective meters, replacement of naked wires with Aerial bunched cables and relocation of meters outside the premises of residents. Also, all unconnected or disconnected households were asked to take regular electricity connections with their load enhancement requests to be processed on priority basis. They were also allowed to pay their arrears in five installments with entire surcharge amount to be waived off.
