Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki administered the oath of office to the third Lokayukta of the state, Justice (Retd) Nawal Kishore Agarwal, at Haryana Raj Bhavan.Justice (Rtd) Agarwal succeeds Justice (Retd) Pritam Pal, who completed his five-year term on January 18, 2016.
Justice (Retd Agarwal had assumed charge as Judge in High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur on March 31, 2009. He relinquished this charge on July 23, 2014 on attaining the age of 62 years. Originally from Bahror, Rajasthan, he completed LLB from MES College, Bilaspur in 1977. He was enrolled as advocate on March 18, 1979 and practiced in District Court, Bilaspur, and High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, and was designated as Senior Advocate in 2005.
