Rang Ghar was built by Ahom King Pramatta Singha. Rang Ghar is one of the oldest amphitheaters in Asia. It is a two-storied brick building, constructed in around year 1745. Rang Ghar was used as a royal pavilion during games like bull fight, elephant fight, wrestling, etc. It is situated in Rupahi Pothar, near present day Sivasagar town.
