Punjab Tourism Development Corporation is a wholly owned Public Sector Undertaking of the State Government. The Tourist Complexes owned by the State Government were transferred to the Corporation on 1st April, 1979.At present the Corporation has 18 Tourist Complexes and 4 Holiday Homes. These tourist complexes spread all over the State. It serve ethnic punjabi food at Punjabi Rasoi in Punjab Pavillion at Pragati Maidan and Punjabi Tandoor at Dilli Haat (near INA market) New Delhi . Holiday Homes are located outside Punjab i.e. at Mussoorie, Goa, Dharamshala and Jaipur owned by the Corporation. Tourism infra-structure is being further strengthened in the State under Central and State Financial Assistance. Modern complexes at Aam Khas Bagh (Sirhind) and Fast Food Counter at Ropar on the banks of Sutlej river have been commissioned. In addition to these the Corporation has leased out some Restaurants/Tourist Complexes on short-term basis.
