This scheme was launched by Punjab government in 2011,under which benefit of Rs.20000 is provided at the birth of the girl child .THis amount is invested in the name of the child with the LIC and enhanced payments are made available to the girl at various stage of life.This benefit is restricted only upto two girls per family.
