Explanation:

Under this scheme, 76.20 km long canal will be diverted to the additional water of Kosi in the Mahananda Basin. In this scheme 90% of the total expenditure will be provided by the central government and 10% will be given by the state government, the estimated cost of this scheme is Rs 4900 crore, on completion of this scheme, irrigation will be provided in 14882 hectares of the state. The largest river link project in the country is the Ken-Betwa River Link Project of Madhya Pradesh.
