All districts of Punjab to have health centres for police personnel

The Punjab Police have decided to establish health and wellness centres for the force in all districts, including the three commissionerates, of the state. The centres are also proposed be set up in all armed police and police training centres.
The health and wellness centres will have facilities like indoor gym, outdoor gym, space for meditation and yoga, physiotherapy centre and counselling room to focus on the health and wellness of cops.
Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta said the pressures of job and stressful working conditions of police officials leads to fatigue, trauma and stress, and could result in serious health issues.
