Budhu Bhagat was an Indian Freedom Fighter born into an Oraon farmer family on 17th February 1782 in Silagai, Chanho, Ranchi District, Jharkhand. He was the leader of Lakra rebellion in 1832 and led an Guerrilla Warfare against the cruelty of forces of Jamindars and British. He trained himself and his friends for Guerilla War and attacked the British with bows, arrow, axe and sword on 13th february 1832. He and his two sons lost their lives that day fighting for their peoples Freedom against the British force.
