Explanation:

This is the first time in Bihar when four elections are being held simultaneously, these include Graduate Constituency of Bihar Legislative Council and Teachers Constituency of Bihar Legislative Council, General Election of Bihar Legislative Assembly and by-election of Valmiki Nagar Parliamentary Constituency. Due to all these elections being held simultaneously, it has been decided to apply indelible ink in different fingers of the voter. According to the instructions of the Election Commission, voters of Bihar Legislative Council graduate constituency will have indelible ink on the index finger of the right hand during voting, the voters of Bihar Legislative Council teacher constituency will have indelible ink in the middle finger of right hand Ink will be put on left hand index finger for voters of Bihar assembly general election and by-election for Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha seat.
