As many as 22 faculty members and researchers of IIT-Guwahati, seven from the Tezpur University in Assam and one from the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, have featured among the top 2 percent scientists in the world. The list was created by Stanford University.

MAIN HIGHLIGHTS:

=> The list also features faculty members from Cotton University, Gauhati University and Assam University from the state. The list has a total of 1,494 Indian scientists.

=> The report prepared by experts at Stanford University has listed over 1,00,000 scientists, whose published research manuscripts have accelerated progress in their respective fields and influenced the productivity of other researchers’ work as well.
