West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) announced that Kolkata would soon be featuring a one-of-a-kind tyre park.Kolkata’s bustling Esplanade Bus Depot will be getting this unique installation that will see artwork born out of scrap mainly consisting of used tyres.

HIGHLIGHTS:

=> The entire process of installing the new tyre park would be overlooked by the WBTC.

=> The department has been working on collecting scrap tyres that were lying as wastes in various bus depots across the state and converting them into art exhibits of all shapes and colours.

=> Apart from the artwork being displayed, the installation at the Esplanade area would also have a small café soon where people can enjoy the craftsmanship in the middle of the buzzing bus depot.

=> No scrap material can be labelled as waste, it can be reused and converted into art form. The West Bengal Transport Corporation will launch this Tyre Park soon. It will be an island of peace in an otherwise very crowded area. The date of launch of the Tyre Park will be announced shortly.
