Explanation:

Madhya Pradesh was formed on 01 November 1956 by merging the then Mahakaushal, Chhattisgarh, Central India, Bhopal, Vindhya Pradesh and Rajasthan sub-divisions Sinoj. Different components / laws related to Panchayat Raj system were prevalent in different components. With a view to bring uniformity in the Panchayat Raj system in the state, in the year 1962, new Panchayat Acts were enacted in the year 1981 and 1990 to make the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Raj system more strong and effective. The Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1993 has been implemented in the State from 25 January 1994 in accordance with the 73rd Amendment Act 1992 of the Constitution of India.
