NIC (National Informatics Centre), Madhya Pradesh :

Madhya Pradesh State Centre (MPSC), of NIC, Madhya Pradesh – “The Cyber Gateway of the State” was setup at Bhopal, in the year 1988, to play a catalytic role in promoting informatics culture and providing ICT services to government departments/organization, besides architecting & implementing various e-Governance initiatives with the best possible technology support for achieving targeted goal of delivering efficient citizen services to the common public in the State.To succeed in this endeavor, NIC implemented State-wide network of District Centers and sub-offices.Currently, NIC District Centers are operational at 51 Districts. NIC has also created specialCenters at various important locations, i.e., Governor office, State Secretariat (Mantralaya), State Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) and Commissioner LandRecords.

NIC being a large State, policy formulation & implementation, initiation & implementation of various developmental schemes & programmes, coordination & monitoring up to lowest level of administration involves challenges in governance & delivery of services to the general public.

NICNET Infrastructure :

Availability of the right data is the key for good decision making for effective management. ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) initiatives of the state have thrown up several new possibilities for meeting out these challenges and for making the governance more effective & efficient. In order to achieve automation of Government processes & functions, NICMP is providing High Speed NICNET / Internet connectivity, Turnkey solutions for the establishment of LAN/Campus Area Network/MAN/WAN, Mail Messaging Services, Video Conferencing, Anti Virus Support and Security Services to various Central/State/District level Departments/Organizations/users.

NICNET Infrastructure is equipped with the various high end technology products & solutions like Enterprise Routers in Clustering Mode for High Availability, L2/L3 Manageable LAN Switches, MPLS enabled 10 Gbps Backbone connectivity, 34/100 Mbps to 1000 Mbps Leased Line connectivity to 51 District NIC Centres from redundant Service Providers, Gigabit OFC based Inter-Building LAN connecting Vidhan Sabha, Mantralaya, Satpura and Vindhaychal Bhawans, Multi Layered Secured Architecture including Firewall and Intrusion Prevention System, Centralized Anti Virus/Patch Management Servers, Multi Router Traffic Graph Analyzer etc., with Integrated Network Operation Center functional on 24x7 basis for Network Management, Monitoring and Support services to various users.

NICNET 2/4/8/100 Mbps connectivity have been extended to District Courts (33 Nos.), High Court Jabalpur, Gwalior and Indore, CBI Bhopal and Jabalpur, CGHS Dispensaries of Bhopal and Jabalpur, Department of Post, Department of Forest, PAO, Commissioner Offices, Academy of Administrations, Chief Election Commission MP, State Election Commission, NVDA, Panchayat & Social Justice, Passport Office, National Green Tribunal, NREGA, Treasury, MoEF, MPRRDA, JDGFT etc.

NIC Madhya Pradesh is fulfilling the commitment in multi-dimensional ways to achieve the user satisfaction with the help of latest state-of-the-art ICT(Information Communication and Technology) infrastructure. NIC, Madhya Pradesh has been extending citizen-friendly, transparent, efficient and reliable ICT- Services.

During the last few years the e-Governance efforts of NIC Madhya Pradesh along with State Government have been recognized with prestigious awards for ICT-Services at State and District level.

National Knowledge Network (NKN) :

State Level POP of National Knowledge Network (NKN) has been established and made fully functional since January 2012. NKN POP (Post Office Protocol) has been equipped with High end ASR 9000 Routers Cluster for High Availability, 10G Backbone connectivity from NIC Belapur and Hyderabad, 10G connectivity with NIC HQ, 02 Nos. 60 KVAUPS in load sharing mode Anycast DNS Server, Surveillance Cameras, Biometric and Smart card based Access Control, Video Wall, integrated Video Conferencing Studio etc. As on today around 70 prestigious institutions i.e. Center for Advanced Technology (CAT Indore), IIM (Indore), IIT(Indore), IISER(Bhopal), AIIMS(Bhopal), SPA(Bhopal), AMPRI(Bhopal), JNKVV (Jabalpur), NITTTR, Government Medical College (Jabalpur, Bhopal, Rewa, Sagar), All MP State Universities, NIT, SATI Vidisha, MITS Gwalior, GEC Jabalpur, GEC Ujjain, SGSITS Indore, RMSKVV Agriculture University Gwalior, LNIPE Gwalior, IIITDM, IIITM, Military College of Technology & Engineering, DRDE etc., besides many more institutions are connected and availing NKN services. NKN connectivity has also been extended to the State Data Center and MP SWAN POP. We have the presence of all three NLDs along with their end equipments i.e. BSNL, RAILTEL and PGCIL for the extension of end user connectivity.
