Schemes launched by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur at Haroli Assembly, Kangra :
1. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the Mukhyamantri Khet Sanrakshan Yojana at Karampur village in the Haroli Assembly segment. Dovetailed with the solar fencing scheme to keep away wild and domestic animals from agricultural land, farmers will be able to add barbed wires or channel links to solar fencing under the new scheme.
2. The Chief Minister announced that the the road junction at Polian village on the inter-state border with Punjab in the Haroli segment would be named after Guru Nanak Dev, while the main road intersection at Tahliwal would be named after former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, who gave a special industrial package to Himachal Pradesh that facilitated the development of the Tahiwal industrial area.
3. A new division and subdivision of the State Electricity Board would be opened at Haroli and Mubarikpur, respectively. He announced to set up a Gau Sadan for stray cattle at Polian village. He also announced funds for flood protection works in various villages.
4. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated or laid the foundation stones of works estimated to cost Rs 63 crore in the Una and Haroli constituencies, including the foundation stones of a science block at Behdala school estimated to cost Rs 1.32 crore.
5. He laid the foundation stones for road strengthening works in three villages to be accomplished at a cost of Rs 11.12 crore, an ITI building at Mehatpur at a cost of Rs 8.55 crore, a scheme to strengthen the Bathu-Bathadi industrial corridor at a cost of Rs 2.87 crore and multi-village drinking water schemes at a cost of Rs 29.7 crore.
6. The Chief Minister dedicated to the public a community hall at Mehatpur constructed at a cost of Rs 2.45 crore and dedicated to the memory of former BJP minister Des Raj Thakur. He also inaugurated a public park at Mehatpur built at a cost of Rs 80 lakh and six irrigation schemes in the Haroli segment constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore.
