The Finance Department (FD) has advocated review of all ongoing schemes and discontinuation or merger of the schemes with an annual budget outlay of up to Rs 5 crore. Batting for the restructuring of the existing schemes, the FD asked the departments to discontinue or merge the schemes having an annual outlay of Rs 5 crore or less. This would enable the state government rationalise existing schemes to achieve optimum results with the given resources.
