Explanation:

Badri Dutt Pandey, Born on 15 Feb 1882 in Kankhal Haridwar, was a renowned freedom fighter and a much respected personality in the Himalayas. After starting his first newspaper from Almora he took part in many movements and was the first person to raise his voice to demand a different state of Uttarakhand and he was also the first Member of Parliament to be selected from Almora. He died on 13 Feb 1965 and for his dedication to the cause of his people he is often referred to as ‘Kumaon Kesari’.
