State Government of Maharashtra increased the financial aid to families of Jawans Martyred in war or war-like situations and to disabled soldiers hailing from the state from Rs25 lakhs to Rs 1 crore.
Key Points: i. The government will provide Rs 60lakh to soldiers left 51 to 100% disabled instead of the current Rs 15lakh. ii. Those with 25% disability will be given assistance of Rs20 lakh from Rs5lakh. iii. Those with a disability up to 50% will be given assistance of Rs 34lakh from Rs 8.5lakh.
