FORTI - Federation of Rajasthan Trade & Industry :

1. Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI) is an apex chamber of Trade & Industry of the state of Rajasthan.

2. The Organisation was established in the year 1955 under the name & style of “Rajasthan Vyapar Udyog Mandal´and was registered with the Registrar Non Trading Companies, Rajasthan under registration no. 28 of 1965. In the year the Executive Committee passed a resolution to change the name of the organization to “ Federation of Rajasthan Trade & Industry “ commonly to be known as FORTI. FORTI is attached with internationally active and popular organization “ Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry {FICCI), at national lavel.

3. FORTI reprsents trade & industrial community of Rajasthan in various Advisory Commettes of ministeris of Central and State Govt.

4. FORTI is a registered body with the Registrar of Non Trading Companies. It has a membership of more than 10000 direct members and 1,00,000 indirect members which includes trading & industry establishments, industry specific associations, institutions besides individuals and compasses wide spectrum of industries & trade in all the sectors of the economy.

5. In brief, FORTI acts as a bridge between the Government of India at National level & Government of Rajasthan at State level and its members. It performs as an intermediary for policy advocacy with the governments and dissemination of information amongst its members.

6. The main objectives are to solve various problems related to trade, industry and general society, clarification of various rules regulations and enacted laws.

7. To fulfill these, FORTI organizes Seminars, Skill development workshops, Training programs, Road shows and Exhibitions etc. at regular intervals. Subject Specialists of national & international fame, Higher ranking Officials of State/Central Govt. Officials from Banks, Financial Institutes, Traders, Industrialists, Students of Management / Engineering Institutes, Representatives of Trading / Industrial organizations and Dignitaries from general public are invited to participate in these events and take benefit out of the discussions. They explain and clarify the details of rules, regulations and laws and also clear the related confusions of the delegates present.

8. Rajasthan is now having a vast network of enterprises in Metal and Mineral processing, Garment Manufacture, Food Processing, Handicraft, world class urban development, Townships, industrial Estates, Automobile Manufacture, Electronic and Engineering Industry, construction stones like marble and granite, large solar and wind power generation farms in which members of FORTI are actively and prominently involved.

9. FORTI intends to make greater cohesive and systematic efforts for enhancing international business in selected identified friendly countries, which have greater synergies in terms of business environment, potential and avenues, development needs in a liberalizing economy.

Functions :

• To provide trade and industry a platform to come under one roof for their development & providing solution to their problems.
• To organise seminar, exhibitions and conferences to update the entrepreneurs.
• To work as abridge between Govt and trade and industry as it  represents trade and industry of the State.
