Centre for Good Governance, Rajasthan :
As per Budget Announcement made by Chief Minister in 2004-2005, a Centre for Good Governance (CGG) has been established in the HCM Rajasthan State Institute of Public Administration in 2004 with a view to coordinate and support the designing and implementation of the State Government's Governance Reforms Programme.
Vision :
The CGG aims to be a resource and capacity-building institution for the state governments, their various departments and officials and also for local selfgovernments and civil society. It would devote itself fully to providing support to the governmental efforts to reform the systems
Objectives : The objectives of the CGG are:
Goal :
The goal of the CGG is to bring excellence in governance of the state and to strengthen institutions of civil society for making it sustainable.
Focus area :Focus will be on creation of knowledge-base through conducting action research and studies of government and other organisations for improving performance and developing tools and techniques for performance audit of organisations and persons and on capacity-building programmes for the stakeholders.
Governing board :
The Centre is a registered body under Rajasthan Societies Registration Act, 1958. There is an Executive Body and a Governing Body .
Funding :
The Centre is provided annual grant from the State Government every year. Rs. 30 lakhs have been sanctioned for the Centre as grants-in-aid for the Year 2014-2015. Besides, studies, evaluation of schemes and programmes, projects are proposed to various Ministries/Departments of Government of India and money is sanctioned. The Centre conducts several activities under the sponsorship of the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, New Delhi. At present, the Centre is implementing Sevottam Plan Scheme of Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India. This scheme is available for 5 years.
Sources of inputs :
The CGG will receive inputs from the following sources: Government of Rajasthan through different departments and agencies. Government of India through Department of Personnel and Training, Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Finance, Minority Affairs and other related Ministries. International agencies working in the field of good governance. Policy research units working in the area of policy analyses and policy responses, including policy advocacy. Consultants, who provide technical and policy advice.

The Centre conducted following activities during the Year 2012-2013 :
1. Preparation of Training Module on Sensitization of Government Functionaries on Minority Issues (July 2012)
2. Constitution of A Core Group for preparation of training module on Minority Issues (July 2012)
3. Validation Workshops on Training Modules on Sensitization of Government Functionaries on Minority Issues on 3 August 2012 and 14 December 2012.
