Explanation:

 Banana has been introduced in Rajasthan as a commercial crop for the first time following the spectacular success achieved in the trial plantations done in the Banswara district, bordering Gujarat. The seeds supplies by Indo-American Hybrid Seeds, Bangalore, have been found to be suitable for large-scale plantations with the yield as high as 67.37 tonnes per hectare.
The surprising fact is that the farmers, who have taken up the trial plantation work in the district, have earned a clean profit of Rs 1.70 lakh per hectare. And this has enthused the farmers to take up the banana plantation on a large-scale in whole of the State.
