In a landmark move, the Haryana Government has become the first state to adopt the Uniform Building Code passed by the Centre early this year.

The Code gives a big push for online building approvals, promises floor area ration (FAR) incentives for going green and gives a fillip to better planned urban development.The code gave provision for multilevel parking in residential property. Also, special provisions for specially abled people and a separate entry in public buildings for specially abled have been guaranteed in the building code.
