In which Indian state, megalithic stone jars were recently unearthed?
Tamil Nadu
Assam
Uttar Pradesh
West Bengal
Dozens of megalithic stone jars have been recently unearthed in the state of Assam, at four previously unknown sites.
The discovery has brought to focus the possible links between India’s Northeast and Southeast Asia, dating back to the second millennium BC. The study calls for more research to understand the cultural relationship between Assam, Laos and Indonesia, the only two other sites where similar jars have been found.
