Why in News?

=> Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Lal chand Kataria and Minister of State for Sports Ashok Chandana inaugurated the State level Sub-Junior and Junior Boys and Girls Swimming Competition at Alankar College, Sirsi Road in Jaipur.

Key Points:

=> The competition will be held from June 1 to June 5, in which 325 players from 16 districts of the state are participating.

=> Out of the 325 players who have participated in this five-day event, 45 swimmers are taking part in the sub-junior category, while 280 swimmers are taking part in the junior category.

=> It is being organised under the aegis of Rajasthan Swimming Association, which is headed by Anil Vyas.
