Which of the following categories of people are eligible to get compassionate employment upon the death of an employee of the Rajasthan roadways department?
1. Sons
2. Adopted sons
3. Unmarried daughter
4. Divorced daughters
1 and 3 only
3 and 4 only
1 and 2 only
All of the above
In a major policy decision by the government of Rajasthan oriented towards welfare of women, a married daughter will now be eligible for job on compassionate grounds in Rajasthan Roadways after her father’s death.
The state government has approved the proposal of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) in this regard.
Earlier, there was no provision for it.
According to the existing rules, there was a provision to give compassionate appointments to the dependents on the death of the employee in the Corporation according to which sons, adopted sons, unmarried daughters, divorced daughters, widowed daughters or wife of the deceased employee were eligible to get compassionate appointment.
If the deceased person is unmarried, then the dependent would include the brother, mother, or father of the person. However, now the government has decided to give jobs to married daughters also.
