The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir has emerged overall champion in the pre-teen, sub-junior and junior boys and girls categories in the Pencak Silat Nationals, held in Haryana's Rohtak district

The Nationals were held for the first time in Haryana in the sub-junior and junior categories.

The tournament saw the shortlisting of probables for the Junior World Championship in Singapore as well as Junior Asian Championship in Thailand in the month of March and June, respectively, next year.
