Why in News?
=> The three-day 'Vikramotsav-2021' focused on India's flourishing and re-awakening was inaugurated by Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodh Peeth with the presentation of the great drama 'Samrat Vikramaditya' in the Tribal Museum.
Key Points:
=> Shri Ram Tiwari, director of Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth, said that the events centered on Emperor Vikramaditya have often been confined to Ujjain, whereas Vikram Kirti has been universal.
=> With this view, Vikramotsav series is being brought out of Ujjain's park and brought to Bhopal for the first time.
=> Apart from Bhopal, this function series will also be organized at cultural centers like Pune, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Patna, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh etc.
=> Tiwari said that a series of lectures titled Bharat-Vikram has been started in Ujjain in the past, which will be organized in all the universities of Madhya Pradesh.
=> This lecture series focused on India's Utkarsh and Renaissance is also planned to be organized in major cities of the country.
=> On the first day of Vikramotsav, Vishala Cultural and Lokhit Samiti, Ujjain under the direction of Sanjay Malviya presented the great drama 'Samrat Vikramaditya'.
=> Two more plays will be performed in the Vikramotsav, which will continue for three consecutive days.
