Udayan Mane becomes PGTI Order of Merit Champion

Why in News?

=> Olympian Udayan Mane won the PGTI's Tata Steel Tour Championship to clinch the PGTI Order of Merit title for the 2020-21 season.

Key Points:

=> Two-time Asian Tour winner Rashid Khan finished runner-up in this championship.

=> The championship was held from 16 to 19 December 2021 at Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.

=> Mane received prize money of Rs 22,50,000 and surpassed Karandeep Kochhar and Chikkarangappa in the merit list based on season's earnings.

=> Udayan had earlier also won the 2019 Tata Steel Tour Championship in Jamshedpur.

• They have won four titles during the 2020-21 season. This is his 12th PGTI title.
