Why in News?

=> Madhya Pradesh Public Health Engineering Department approved ISA for water supply schemes of rural areas of the state in Jal Jeevan Mission. Approval of Rs 44 crore 65 lakh has been given for the appointment.

Key Points:

=> Implementation Support Agency (ISA) is selected as per the guidelines of Jal Jeevan Mission.

=>This agency will provide its services for drinking water and community management, water quality, rain water harvesting / recharge, water resource management, capacity building and awareness generation, public health engineering and water in the water supply scheme area.

=> In order to provide water to the entire rural population of Madhya Pradesh through tap connections, water supply schemes are being run under the National Jal Jeevan Mission.

=> Under Jal Jeevan Mission, ISA for water supply schemes of 10 thousand 261 villages in 13 districts of the state- Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Gwalior, Datia, Guna, Ashoknagar and Shivpuri respectively.

=> Appointment has been made. This amount can be spent on the services of these districts.
