Attempt to limit VIP culture

What is the news?

=> Assam Cabinet has decided that traffic movement would not be halted beforehand owing to the movement of Chief Minister or for that matter any other minister.

=> If required, traffic may be stopped for not more than two minutes.

=> However, ambulances would be given the top priority.

=> Further, the number of vehicles in the Chief Minister’s carcade in Guwahati has been reduced to six and 12 in other districts(excluding escorts and pilots).

=> The State Cabinet also approved the decision to celebrate ‘District Day’ on the day in which the respective districts were formed.
