Key Points:
=> It is noteworthy that this year 12 states/UTs participated in the parade on the occasion of Republic Day, in which the tableau based on the theme 'One District One Product and Kashi Vishwanath Dham' of Uttar Pradesh got the first place.
=> The second place went to Karnataka for the tableau based on the 'cradle of traditional handicraft'. Meghalaya got the third position for the tableau on 'Tribute to 50 years of Meghalaya State and Women-led Cooperative Societies and Self Help Groups (SHGs)'.
=> It may be mentioned that this was the first time that the general public was invited through the MyGov platform to vote for the best marching party and the best tableau in the popular choice category.
