Why in News?

=> Recently the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) announced the Online Education Excellence Awards, 2022, in which AISECT University, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand was adjudged the best university of the year.

Key Points:

=> The Online Education Excellence Awards, 2022 event was organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), in which the Governor of Jharkhand, Ramesh Bais was the chief guest.

=> In the program, the difficulties faced in providing online education in remote areas during the Corona period and aspects of making it successful through alternative means were discussed in detail.

=> In the online program, Registrar of AISECT University, Dr. Munish Govind said that the aim of AISECT University is to prepare the students for the modern environment by developing technical skills, traditional knowledge, values etc.

=> It may be mentioned that the All Indian Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT), was established with a new concept of spreading computer literacy and technology training to the rural masses in their mother tongue.

=> It is currently the leading national network of ICT enabled services with over twenty thousand centers. It includes 28 states and 3 union territories of India.

=> Three universities have been established by AISECT for this – Dr. CV Raman University, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), AISECT University, Patna (Bihar) and AISECT University, Hazaribagh (Jharkhand).
