Jharkhand has been ranked third in the category of large states in terms of development in the recently released Public Appearances Index, 2021.

Key Points:

=> The Public Appearances Index has been calculated on the basis of three basic pillars – Equity, Growth/Growth and Sustainability.

=> In this, Jharkhand has been ranked 9th in the list of big states in the equity column, while Gujarat has got the first and Uttar Pradesh has got the last position.

=> Jharkhand has performed exceptionally well in the development/growth column and has been ranked 3rd in the big states category, as compared to 14th position last year.

=> Jharkhand has been ranked 15th among the big states in the sustainability column, while Kerala is at the first and Uttar Pradesh is at the last position.

=> In the overall ranking, Kerala has got the first and Tamil Nadu has got the second place.
