After raising objections, the Army has given no-objection certificate (NOC) to revised Master Plan for prestigious project
The work on the project was halted in May this year for want of NOC from the Army.Earlier, a committee constituted by the Government of India had directed the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to revise the Master Plan of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) at Awantipora in south Kashmir in line with security instructions issued by the Ministry of Defence.
The institute to be established at Awantipora is part of the Prime Minister's Development Package (PMDP) which was announced on 7 November 2015.
