Assam has launched ‘Fishwaale’ app, India’s first electronic fish market on 5 October.Parimal Shuklabaidya, Minister of Fisheries, Environment, Forestry, and Excise released India’s first e-fish market app.
Details:
=> The app allows users to not only sell and buy fish but also to purchase quality fish seeds and fish feed online.
=> Aquaculture equipment and pharmaceuticals will also be included in the app. Online orders for aquarium tanks, ornamental fish, and equipment are also available.
=> Table-sized fish such as Bangon, Milligal, and Rohu, as well as fresh water and seawater frozen fish (iceboxes), dry fish packets, dried fish raw, fish pickles, and processed fish items, are also available on India’s first e-fish market app ‘Fishwaale’.
Key Points:
=> Fishwaale app is being implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Matysa Sampada Yojana scheme.
=> PMMSY will be implemented in all States and Union Territories for five years, from FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25.
