The health of 1 crore 70 lakh children of 72000 elementary schools in Bihar will now improve with Akshaya Patra Kitchen, keeping in mind the shortcomings in mid-day meal and keeping teachers away from it, taking care of children's health through Akshaya Patra Rasoi. Preparations are being made, before implementing the scheme, Akshaya Patra Foundation has been given the responsibility of mid-day meal in some schools of Patna district. Children will be given pulses, rice, mix vegetables, chickpeas, mixed pulses, potatoes,gram, peas, curry etc., children will be given bananas for 4 days a week and seasonal fruits for 2 days.
