1. 1921- During Non Cooperation Movement

2. 1926- To attain 41st session of INC held in Guwahati

3. 1934- To campaign against untouchability

4. 1946- To campaign against partition of India- during this visit he stayed at Sarania Ashram in Sarania hills in Guwahati

To commemorate Gandhiji’s visit to Sarania Guwahati-Ramkinkar Baij sculpted his statue in 1970 Statue is titles as “ The Apostle”
