Support centre for home-isolated in Karnal

Aiming at reducing pressure on hospitals and facilitating home isolation due to increasing number of Covid patients, a 20-bed home care centre with oxygen support has been set up at the Panchayat Bhawan, while 80 more beds with oxygen are expected to be available in a couple of days at a banquet hall.
Patients with mild symptoms, who are home-quarantined, will be shifted and treated here at the centre. The number of beds will also be increased to 100 in a couple of days. SDM Ayush Sinha has been made the nodal officer.
“We have started this to help people under home isolation, to avoid panic when their oxygen saturation comes down. To help such patients and reduce the burden on hospitals, we have started this centre. Presently, we have 20-bed with oxygen support," said Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner.
Soon, the number will be increased to 100 beds, of which 50 will have oxygen concentrators, while the remaining will have oxygen cylinders.
