The Haryana Government has decided to take five monuments in Nuh district (formerly Mewat) under state protection for conservation as per the provisions of the Punjab Ancient Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1964. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal to take Ghasera fort, an old tehsil building in Nuh, Kotla mosque in Kotla village, chhatris and a kuan at Meoli village under state protection.
