A ceremony was organized to honor the martyrs of Galvan on the occasion of Infantry Day at Bihar Regiment Center, Danapur. In which the successors and dependents of all 12 martyrs of 16 Bihar Regiment were included for the first time. Infantry Day was celebrated on 27 October 2020 to commemorate the contributions of the Infantry, the largest part of the Indian Army. This day has a unique significance for the Infantry, as it was on this day in 1947 that the Indian Army foot soldiers became the first troops to land at Srinagar Airport. This was a move that drove the invaders back from the outskirts of Srinagar and Jammu. And saved the state of Kashmir from attack by Pakistan-backed tribes.
