Preparation for implementation of scheme for destitute animals in Rajasthan :
1. Rajasthan is among the leading states in the country in terms of livestock. In western Rajasthan, the economy of villages is largely dependent on livestock and cattle.
2. The Government of Rajasthan is considering to implement the ongoing Narua Garua, Ghurua and Bari scheme in Chhattisgarh to take care of the destitute animals in the villages of Rajasthan and keep them together. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Agriculture Minister Lalchand Kataria have also studied this scheme in Chhattisgarh.
3. Rajasthan is among the leading states in the country in terms of livestock. In western Rajasthan, the economy of villages is largely dependent on livestock and cattle. Farmers also do animal husbandry work, but destitute animals are also found in large numbers in the villages. When the cow or buffalo stops milking or is of no use, the cattlemen leave them in the lurch. Later these also harm cattle farming and also cause accidents on highways and other roads passing through the village.
4. Experts say that earlier there used to be a separate place for such animals and cattle in villages, which were called gates. To overcome this problem, it is being considered to implement the Narua Garua, Ghurua and Bari scheme in Chhattisgarh. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Agriculture Minister Lalchand Kataria and Rajkheda MLA Rohit Bohra have come to Chhattisgarh for some time seeing this scheme and they like it very much. Now considering the circumstances here in Rajasthan, the scheme is being considered for implementation. Every village will have a masterplan In fact, in Rajasthan, the government is preparing a masterplan for every village. Under this, a location will also be fixed for destitute animals in villages.
5. If the farmers and livestock farmers of the village want to keep their cattle at this place during the day. Their fodder-water system will be managed by the village panchayat with mutual support and cow dung gas and other products of cow dung such as condens for burning etc. will be made here. This will also provide employment to women. Also, earthworm manure and other organic manure will also be prepared at this place.
6. A small kachha pond will also be constructed to provide water for cattle. In this way, this place will not only become a place for cattle to live in the village, but will also become a means of employment of women and income of the panchayat in the village.
