During the International Bus and Car show, Prawaas 2019 which was held in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari informed that approval was given to the national permit scheme for inter-state travel for bus operators. 
i. Government is also working on alternative fuels such as deriving ethanol from sugarcane which will be cost-effective and pollution-free.

ii. The move is likely to increase the state revenue by 3-4 percent as the money will be directly credited to the states in a proportionate manner. Minister was attending the India International Bus and Car show, Prawaas 2019 in Mumbai.

iii. The minister announced that the government will soon provide the online facility of obtaining a permit for the electric vehicles including buses, car taxis, autos, and bike taxis.
