Five students I, J, K, L and M are sitting on a bench in a straight row, facing North. M and J are immediate neighbours. M and K

are also immediate neighbours, I is on the extreme left of the bench. J is sitting second from the extreme right. Who is sitting

- I is on the extreme left, so I is in position 1.

- J is second from the extreme right, which is position 4.

- M and J are immediate neighbors, so M must be in position 3 or 5.

- M and K are also immediate neighbors, therefore M is most likely in position 3 to be close to both J and K.

- That places K in position 2 and M in position 3.

- L takes the remaining position 5.

Arrangement: I, K, M, J, L.

- Option 1: K and M

- K and M are indeed between I and J.

- Option 2: L

- L is on the extreme right.

- Option 3: L and M

- L is not between I and J.

- Option 4: K and L
