Incorrect Answer1,80,000
Incorrect Answer1,60,000
Incorrect AnswerExplanation:
Correct option:3
Solution:
Let Varun's initial money = Rs X.
He gave 60% to his wife. Remaining = 40% of X = 0.4X.
He gave 20% of remaining 0.4X to each of his three children:
Each child: 20% of 0.4X = 0.08X
Three children: 3 × 0.08X = 0.24X
Money left = 0.4X - 0.24X = 0.16X
He spent 3/5 of what's left on miscellaneous:
Spent = 3/5
Money left now =2/5 x 0.16X =0.32/5 x
He deposited Rs 9,600 in bank, i.e., 0.32/5X = 9600
X = 1,50,000
