X, Y, Z enter into a partnership venture with a capital Rs1,20,000. in which the contribution of Y and Z are,respectively,40% more

and Rs1,000 more than that of X. The profit earned is 20% of the capital. Out of this profit ,10% goes towards some incidental

expenses. What is the share (in Rs) of X out of it?

- Let X's contribution be Rs x.

- Y's contribution is 40% more than X, so Y contributes Rs 1.4x.

- Z contributes Rs (x + 1,000).

- The total contributions: x + 1.4x + (x + 1,000) = 3.4x + 1,000.

- This is equal to Rs 1,20,000:

- 3.4x + 1,000 = 1,20,000

- Solving, x = 35,000.

- Profit is 20% of Rs 1,20,000 = Rs 24,000.

- Out of this, 10% is for incidental expenses (Rs 2,400).

- Remaining profit: Rs 24,000 - Rs 2,400 = Rs 21,600.

- X's share ratio is 35,000 out of the total capital.
