Prakash bought 2 items, paying the same price for each of them. He sold one item at a profit of 20% and the other item at a

profit of 25%. What is the overall percentage profit he made?

- He sells one item at a 20% profit.

- He sells the other item at a 25% profit.

- Calculate the total cost and total selling price:

- Let the cost price of one item be ?100 (for simplicity).

- Total cost for 2 items is ?200.

- Selling price of the first item = 100 + 20% of 100 = ?120.

- Selling price of the second item = 100 + 25% of 100 = ?125.

- Total selling price = ?120 + ?125 = ?245.

- Overall profit = (Total Selling Price - Total Cost) / Total Cost * 100%

- (245 - 200) / 200 * 100% = 22.5%

Option 2: 22.5% is the correct answer.
