India Tennis Legend and Davis Cup Coach Akhtar Ali passes away at 81

A former Davis Cup coach and legendary Indian tennis player, Akhtar Ali, has passed away, as he was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and other health issues. He was 81.
Akhtar Ali, was a father figure in Indian tennis.
He represented India continuously in eight Davis Cup between 1958 and 1964 and was captain of Indian Davis Cup in 2008.
Later he turned to coaching and had coached the players like Ramesh Krishnan, Vijay Amritraj, Anand Amritraj and Leander Paes.
